How about a hotel by the lake in Austria? A visit to a lake in winter?! Now you're thinking, "Lucina's Life has gone crazy."
I want to be honest with you... I am a maximum frost dumpling, but also an explorer and adventurer and for me every season has its magic. You can almost say I'm a woman for all seasons. In every season you can do so many things that are good for you and it is nice to experience nature with all your senses.Turn your eyes and imagine what it would be like to listen to a slight surge of the sea in autumn, how the wet drops of light rain tickle your nose, the wind plays with the last colorful tree leaves, while you hurry from the sea walk to the warm quarters to warm up a cup of hot tea. I know I know - it's not the other way around summer at the lake, but that's how I am now. A woman full of contrasts.
In spite of everything, I believe that in the age of multitasking, dense stimulation, high work rate and the balancing act between work and family, such a sea hike, even if not in optimal weather, can give us a lot of new energy.
But back at the beginning: how did I actually get to this hotel Seebrunn am Wallersee? Well it was once again a business trip and so that I could combine the useful with pleasant, I decided in my search for a quarter for this romantic hotel Seebrunn am Wallersee with an extraordinary mix style of Animal and Asia Design.
I am always looking for something special, it was just this special ambience that appealed to me. It's exactly the ambience that often plays a crucial role for me in squeeling out accommodation.
In no time, I booked the Deluxe Room for three days. A short message has been written to the hotel asking us if possible to reserve a room with the spa bath, which I have seen in the pictures of the internet provider Booking.com. After that I just packed our things together, drank a quick espresso with Mr.Bag and already we were in our car towards Salzburger Seenland.

Magical romance
"Happiness starts where you forget time" – and I forgot about it right after getting out of the car. This is what I call successful Work Life Balance. The view of the Hotel Seebrunn am Wallersse flattered my eyes, because it did not look like a cold hotel, but a pretty house with a promising address. I don't know if it's because the Hotel Seebrunn is right on the waterfront, but it has caused a holiday feeling and especially curiosity without much effort. A hotel by the lake is something very special. Definitely you can say here: so close to the water - so far from everyday life.
Check in and enjoy
The quiet and secluded location of the charming design hotel Seebrunn immediately thrilled me. Really idyllic, right on the lake, with birdsong and yet only 20 minutes from Salzburg city. Perfect for us, as we always try to escape the tourist hustle and bustle. The Hotel Seebrunn offers us the perfect starting point to pursue our work and our business meetings, as well as to discover the Salzburger Seeland, to unwind and chill out in the chic ambience of this hotel. Here we are guaranteed away from the urban hustle and bustle of Salzburg. Also the number of only 17 rooms and suites in different equipment variants was for me with this accommodation - selection a certain guarantee for peace and intimacy. At the hotel entrance the Peterle (dog of the hotel owner) welcomed us every time. How could it be different, he immediately ran to Mr.Bag – I can't explain it to myself, but somehow all animals love him.
The hotel owner, Mrs. Bettina Esterer, introduced herself briefly and friendly and welcomed us warmly. Since she urgently had to leave, a very nice receptionist in the hotel lobby also welcomed us. We have done everything necessary for the check-in and she has also kindly explained all important information to us.
As I have said so many times, the sound makes the music. So it was no problem for us that we had to carry our suitcases to the second floor without a lift. Bit of sport never hurts. Everything is always in the eye of the beholder. We think it is nice if the hotel staff makes such an effort, kindly points out it and apologizes for it in advance. Our request for rooms with the whirlpool bath was also met. Juhuu. Unfortunately, due to our working hours we were not able to use the wellness and fitness range of the Hotel Seebrunn, but maybe our next visit will be about.
Eyecatcher
You don't necessarily have to be looking for spirituality or great love to understand the magic of the Hotel Seebrunn on Lake Walersee. The magic meets everyone everywhere here. Also included is understated luxury with stylish highlights. Already in the hotel entrance extravagant statuettes, noble design furniture and finds from distant countries have been waiting for us. First of all, my attention was heard in a tearful, golden sculpture. If I am not mistaken, it was the goddess Lakshmi (also Dewi Sri-Laksmi) who stands for wealth, fertility, prosperity, happiness, beauty, justice and wisdom. At their sight I didn't feel like I was in Austria, but like a long-distance trip. The hotel owners have created a wonderful world here.
The reception has also embellished fresh flowers, which have welcomed us with their floral fragrance. Lilies I love their fragrance. For some, it may be small things, but it's these little things that make you feel comfortable and welcome. Whoever places fresh flowers in his hotel welcomes the guests twice: once with a smile on his face and then with wonderful fresh flowers, which will welcome the guest especially warmly.
This is well-being, these are memories of a spring day in the countryside. Do you already have a smile on your face? Ahhh, what would be the world without flowers.
The warm candlelight also has a calming effect and almost makes us forget that a business meeting is still waiting for us. After our appointment I took a closer look at everything here in the hotel. As you can see, escaping the hustle and bustle of everyday life is easy to escape here.

Asia and Afrika make common cause
The whole Hotel Seebrunn exudes for me a mystical flair that seems beguiling and arouses curiosity. There are influences here from areas in Asia, but also from areas in Africa. Each country contributes its contribution to the hotel facilities. This Far Eastern style mix is very bold and interesting at the same time. Our spacious deluxe double room had a carpeted carpet with a cat fur pattern. Woow, that was a very cool thing. Sometimes something completely different than the 08/15 hotels.
The room was bright and spacious, a small anteroom, a nice modern bathroom with lots of cosmetic accessories such as cotton pads, cosmetic towels, nail arrows, magnifying mirrors, hair dryer, radio and just everything we women so need and like. Of course, the dreamed-up whirlpool bath was also there. The bathroom for my taste very small, but meticulously clean.
A table with everything necessary such as writing notes, ballpoint pens, etc. was also available. The box was spacious with safe and minibar fridge, a very good double bed, a reading chair and a furnished mini-balcony, overlooking the parking lot and the meadow slopes, rounded off the room offer.
The room promised wild romantic nights at first sight ;-) And so it was. The night was after a spa with a hammam face mask and a common fragrant frothy full bath with candlelight, very relaxing and quiet.
We fell into bed satisfied both nights and slept very well.
Small hint: Should you visit the Hotel Seebrunn am Wallersee take candles and bath additives with you for a very special atmosphere ;-)
Good Morning Kick

I love the beauty of the morning atmosphere with the fresh scent of coffee or tea on my nose, the taste of deliciously sweet, fresh fruit on my tongue and my conversations with Mr.Bag. The breakfast buffet was absolutely excellent and left little room for wishes. Rich offer of cold plates, vegetables, fresh fruits, juices, dairy products and cereals, various egg variations... There was nothing lacking.
The breakfast staff was attentive, polite and friendly and therefore also involved in our good start to the day. Thank you very much for that.
Slowly into the day
During busy times, one can only dream of a morning like this: from the terrace of the Hotel Seebrunn you can see the deep blue Wallersee. A light wind sweeps over the surface of the lake and brings the scent of freshness. "Tomorrow has gold in its mouth," it reads. But who needs gold if he can enjoy this sight. In summer you can enjoy your breakfast directly on the terrace with this magnificent view. Or treat yourself to a glass of wine at the in-house beach bar.
A small path leads directly from the hotel's terrace down to the hotel's own beach section. On to the lake! With its six square kilometres of water, The Wallersee is the largest lake in the Salzburg Lake district. For sports enthusiasts, the lake is of course ideal for running, swimming, hiking, sailing, kitesurfing and cycling. This time, a magical walk is enough for me and Mr.Bag. A 20-kilometre-long hiking trail leads around the lake. The special thing is that the southern part belongs to the Way of St. James. Despite the silence on the water we were not lonely on our hiking trail.
You can observe fishermen at work, enjoy the natural spectacle and listen to these wonderful sounds of nature. A true wellness for the senses. After our walk, it was time for a hot cappuccino, which we sipped in the exotic hotel lobby. In this relaxed atmosphere, the working day can then be planned with pleasure.
I included this photo as a comparison. I don't always walk around like model and top, but when I need it, I use my acquired insights, which I make work for my advantage.
Leo Light meets Office
The colourful exoticism of Asia and Africa has always been an inspiration for poets, artists and designers. The seduction to distant dreaming, this well-being from the magical moments in the Hotel Seebrunn and the joy of life I wanted to reflect and transmit in my office outfit on quiet paws.So I decided for these two sporty-elegant variants for my working days in Salzburg. A mixture of self-confidence and emotions, joie de vivre and my lifestyle. Carefree, romantic and a little extravagant at the same time. The classic for the office is black: elegant and serious. I just refreshed it a little bit.
I just refreshed it a little - once with Animal Print and the second time with a shiny silk baler towards Asia. You can find my two looks here and here. And what do you say about that? Do you like it?
Culinaric enjoyness
Those who spend the whole day in the fresh air or with sweet inaction and relaxation, or just like us, with work, want to enjoy good food. Next door is the Gourmet Restaurant Weyringer – unfortunately it was closed during our stay. That is why I cannot tell you anything about it. We found it a bit of a pity that there is no hotel bar where you can have a drink in the evening. Drinks (bottles and cans as well as small snacks) are available in a self-serviced vending machine.
What I can recommend in this area, however, are the bakery Leimüller, about 10 min away, and the bakery Unterbäck in Seekirchen am Wallersee. We were very satisfied here.

Lake
During our stay at the Hotel Seebrunn we experienced The Wallersee in all its facets. Sometimes turquoise blue with autumn sun, sometimes deep blue to black in rain. Sometimes quite quiet and sometimes a bit wild with waves. We have seen a wonderful sunrise and can watch the fisherman work in the rain. We take home many beautiful experiences and look forward to seeing the lake in summer or late spring. The area here is really beautiful.
